Its official! The off-grid riverine community of Sagbokoji has taken a plunge into the solar age courtesy of Solar Jooce. The local clinic has solar power and four women from the community completed a course led by our ACREST Cameroon/Kenya collaboration partners. They put amazing energy and dedication into building their very own phone charging station from which they can earn income. Totally unplanned and unscripted. Another baby boy born today at Sagbokoji off-grid riverine healthcare center. Mother and child doing fine. Medical personnel say fewer mothers are bypassing primary healthcare because of improvements brought about by solar. See the new mother cooling down with a solar fan above.
