The bridge between Solar Home Systems (SHS) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) power storage/usage just occurred with Nissan Leaf EV and Opus. SJ has previously tested the cranking power of deep cycle batteries on internal combustion vehicles. SJ is interested in multi use batteries (Domestic, Small business and mobility).
SJ testing the cranking amp capabilities of telecom and SHS deep cycle batteries on a light vehicle. Although deep cycle rechargeable batteries from our off-grid solar lab are not designed to deliver a quick jolt, they successfully delivered non the less!
Baba the neighbourhood auto electrician now expects a deep cycle battery from SJ off-grid battery bank to do the trick any time the car lights are left on and need to be revived.
