Many of history's greatest transformations began in humble places—a manger, a garage, a basement. Ours began in a basement too, inspired by a different way of looking at energy: start on the rainforest floor, where ordinary people live and work. Strong forests don't grow from the canopy down, and lasting energy systems shouldn't either. They grow from the grassroots up.
