Winning the power access race

Africa and Africans can and should envision a brighter future for the continent. Solar Jooce for over a decade has embraced innovation and collaboration with our partners within the Commonwealth. We have had many successes and a few setbacks over the years. What can be said about our emerging template for achieving #Solar4TheMasses and #SDGs ? We can emphatically say #IWIN ! Sensible solar solution

Inverterless solar powered Direct Current (DC) gets you in the game. It is safe, functional, affordable and extremely reliable. When fuel funding for off-grid health center generators dry up an entire facility can get plunged into total darkness. Some healthcare facilities even ask families of expectant mothers to bring their own supply of petrol for the onsite generator. Lets join hands together to make available affordable #Solar4TheMasses #IWIN ! (It Works In Nigeria !)

Repurposing, recycling and rethinking power access

Solar Jooce as a social enterprise deploys functional solar solutions using recurring themes of re-purposing, recycling and rethinking everyday appliances. In this case a photography soft-box lamp holder was repurposed to provide delivery room "theater lights" to medical personnel in a severely deprived off-grid Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) using inverterless 12 volt solar power. Medical hands can now better focus on medicine in harsh and deprived environments. Our value proposition at Solar Jooce is frugal social innovation, not engineering.
